I’m kind of in love with the concept of Five getting the opportunity to mellow out a bit. Like, he’s still Five and still brings his mindset and approach to things, but as his life calms and he gains some semblance of structure, that mindset shifts to more mundane things. Somewhere along the way, him hounding his siblings so he can save them from the apocalypse becomes him hounding his siblings to quit smoking. He harbors a few grudges and vendettas, only it’s not so much towards the Commission anymore, it’s for the cantankerous old bag who runs the neighborhood watch. He’s still threatening people, only now it’s because some creep makes an off comment at Allison while they’re leaving the movie theater, and even though he knows she can handle herself, he’s suddenly there, yanking the guy down to his level and threatening various forms of bodily harm. He still gets *temperamental* when people try to treat him his ‘age’, but now that’s mostly when he goes to the grocery store with Vanya and the cashier tries to give him the “when I was your age” speech. He’s still drinking coffee, but now it’s because he’s late-night cramming for some stupid quantum mechanics test that he doesn’t need to take but is still determined to ace with flying colors. 

I just love the idea of Five getting to ‘retire’ and live at least a semi calm life and experience a bit of the normalcy he missed out on.
